Long-time "grey-market" online sportsbook and casino operator within the Canadian market, "Betway", has today received its license to operate as one of several legal Ontario betting sites & online casinos in the market, as represented by their local operating company, "Cadway Limited".

Betway and their parent company, NYSE-listed "Super Group", are currently locally licensed & regulated in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Portugal, , Belgium, Mexico and US states including New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Arizona and Virginia.

On April 13 2022, Super Group released its full year earnings results. In it, they said that 45% of all revenues came from their geography of "North America". Of the three countries in North America, Betway is only a market leader in Canada.

For this overall "North America" geography, within 2021, Super Group collected nearly US$600 million in gaming revenue. With Ontario making up nearly 40% of Canada's 38 million-person population, it is a figurative certainty that a large proportion of this kind of revenue figure will in the future fall within the regulated Ontario iGaming scheme.
